Pastor of Discipleship – Lew Dawson

Lew Dawson gave his life to Christ when he was 15 years old and immediately began growing in a solid, Bible-teaching church. During his college years, he developed a discipleship ministry in the dorms at Cal Poly Pomona and was involved extensively with Campus Crusade for Christ. He has been involved in discipleship ever since.  After college, Lew married his high school sweetheart, Karen.  They have two grown children, Lew III and Lauren, both of whom are walking with the Lord.  Lew and Karen have been members of Rancho Baptist Church since 1994, and Lew has been on pastoral staff since 2003.  Lew’s personal goal is to be so thoroughly in love with the Lord and transformed into His image that passing from this life into heaven will simply be a change of venue.  Some of his favorite verses include (Psalm 63:1-5), (Psalm 16:11), (2 Corinthians 3:18), and (2 Timothy 2:1-2).  Lew’s deep desire is to see every person at Rancho Baptist transformed into the image of Jesus Christ through a loving relationship with Him, and with a passion to reproduce their lives in others – both Christians and non-Christians.  In other words, Lew is passionate about making disciples!  Email for Pastor Lew may be sent to pastorlew@ranchobaptistchurch.org.
