Elder Vice-Chairman – Erik Krag

Erik came from a nominally Lutheran family and transferred his trust to Jesus as his savior in 1969. After completing his degree at UCLA, Erik moved to Dallas to attend seminary.  He and his wife of 34 years, Geneva, met in Dallas, Texas, when Erik was a student at Dallas Theological Seminary and Geneva was a secretary.  Erik and Geneva have two married adult children and three grandsons. Geneva is the Risk Manager for a local school district.

Erik medically retired from full time ministry in 1994 due to multiple sclerosis.  In early 1995, the Krag family found a home at RBC where they have been involved in various different ministry opportunities since.  Erik now serves as an elder and adult Sunday school teacher.  Geneva served on the nominating committee which brought our pastor, Matt Hsieh, to RBC. Erik and Geneva have led and hosted home fellowship groups.  Currently, Erik also leads a theology discussion group for men on Tuesday evenings and occasionally serves as  substitute preacher.

In 2011, Wyatt, Erik’s service dog, was added to the family.  Wyatt responds to over sixty commands and helps Erik by picking up papers and various things that are accidentally dropped during the day.

Erik’s favorite book of the Bible to teach is Romans.
