Ministry Synopsis

Ken is the Regional Director for California and Arizona for Missions Door.  We are responsible for the care and oversight of all Church planting ministries.  We are also responsible for the recruitment, mentoring, and discipleship for all new missionaries.  We are now opening new territories for the Mission.  We opened southern China in May 2007 and are looking towards Liberia, Africa as the possible next territory.  The Lord gave Ken his call to the ministry while we were serving at First Baptist Church of Hollywood (where we were baptized and later married).  He then attended seminary and began his 20 year career as an inner city/urban church planter.

About Missions Door

Missions Door exists to assist local churches and Christ followers in their efforts to evangelize, disciple and plant churches among the unreached of our world.  Founded in 1948, the Mission was incorporated in 1950 for the purpose of “preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and starting new churches” in the United States and across the North American continent.  Originally incorporated as the Conservative Baptist Home Mission Society, the name of the Mission was changed to Mission to the Americas in 1994.  By this time ministry had been launched in Belize, French Canada, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Haiti.  Further expansion in Central America opened El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama as new fields of ministry.  With ministries developing beyond North America in Cambodia, China, Kenya and Liberia, Mission to the Americas became Missions Door in 2007, better describing the full scope of ministry and missionary activity.

More Interesting Tidbits from the Wallaces

Ken loves to garden and raise tropical plants that reminds him of his Carribean roots.  Lori likes to exercise.  Catherine love to bake.  Jonathan and Matthew are basketball fanatics!!!  Ken refuses to give up on the Raiders despite all logic.  Our whole family roots for the Lakers.  Matthew thinks he is Kobe (on the court!).
