MINISTRY SYNOPISIS:

The Paschalls will be working in partnership with the director of Evangelical Theological Institute of Senegal, the Association of Evangelical Baptist Churches and Mission Inter Senegal to develop a leadership training program.  In Senegal, they will be working primarily with the Wolof and Serere people groups.  The Wolof are the largest (4.7 million) and influential ethnic group in business and politics, but also the most resistant to the gospel.  The Serere are a large minority group (1.4 million) and are primarily farmers, but are more responnsive to the gospel.  Matt has 15 years of church ministry experience serving in youth, worship and missions.  He has served five years as a mission mobilizer with DELTA Ministries Internation.  Nicole has participated in women’s discipleship groups, retreat, M.O.P.S. Outreach, and on short-term mission trips to Portugal, Mexico, Russia and Senegal.

MORE INTERESTING TIDBITS FROM THE PASCHALLS

While growing up in Southern California, Matt enjoyed a variety of outdoor sports such as surfing, snorkeling, beach volleyball and deep sea fishing and skiing at Mammoth and Big Bear in the winter.  Nicole grew up in Upstate New York and is an avid reader and writer.  She also enjoys gourmet cooking, traveling, photography and graphic design projects.  Now that our family is moving to fWest Africa, the coastal climate and access to beaches ill allow us to pursue some the summer activities year round – except, of course, any snow related activities.  Jacob (age 10) is our sports enthusiast and enjoys soccer, baseball and Nintendo.  Clarisa (age is our artist and is also learning piano, she loves to paint, color or create anything of of glue, crayons, scissors and paper.  Shane (age 3) is our comedian and is crazy about cars, trains and anything that crashes or make loud noises.  Adelaide (1.3 years) likes sparkly and snuggly things or anything that Shane is playing with.
