MINISTRY SYNOPSIS:

After attending Prairie Bible Institute for a one year course in Alberta, Canada which has a heavy emphasis on Missions I was onvinced that I would not be going back to secular work again.  I was 48 years old and had worked, since my father’s death, for 30 years already.  I learned of GRN (Gospel Recordings as it was known then) from a friend at the church I was attending in 1978.  After a very short time of working in the home office I knew that was where the Lord wanted me to serve Him.  My service began in the accounting dept. and now in the administration dept.  It’s been a blessing to know I have a part in making Jesus known around the world first through records, then cassettes, and now CD’s and mp3′s.

In union with our Lord Jesus Christ and in partnership with His church, GRN seeks to effectvely communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ, through audio recordings, to all peoples in their own language.  We are committed to reach every tribe and tongue and nation with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  GRN has made recordings in more than 5600 languages and dialects since the work began.  Credible research indicates that there are over 10,000 vernacular languages spoken in the world today.  Most of these don’t have the written scriptures.  GRN is committed to provide the good news for those tribes and tongues still without the gospel.  We have a tremendous amount of work still ahead of us.  But we are committed to do whatever it takes to deliver the good news where the Name of Jesus has never been uttered.

Lewis (not Narnia esp.), some on Black history and the Civil War.  I enjoy going to Tea Rooms or having coffee in a nice little, quiet spot (live a corner at B & N).  Traveling per se is not my “thing” but I do ejoy visiting my sisters, one in Virginia and one in Florida.
