Synopsis of Ministry: The Navigator calling statement is:  ” To advance the gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.”  We are thrilled to be at Cal Poly where God has called us to make significant inroads and relationships in the lives of non-believers.  We continue to be amazed at all the ways He uses us and the student-friends we are discipling to bring Jesus into sharper focus among those who don’t know Him.  Our prayer is that these same students who are seeing their friends come to Christ will catch a vision and a passion for being life-time laborers in the Kingdom well beyond their college years.

About the Navigators:

Navigators have invested our lives in people for more than 70 years, coming alongside them one to one to study the Bible, develop a deepening prayer life, and memorize and apply Scripture.  An interdenominational, nonprofit organization,  The Navigators is dedicated to helping people navigate spiritually, to know Christ and to make Him known as they look to Him and His Word to chart their lives.  Our ultimate goal is to equip them to fulfill 2 Timothy 2:2-to teach what they have learned to others.  Today, tens of thousands of people worldwide are coming to know and grow in Jesus Christ through the various ministries of The Navigators.  Internationally, more than 4,000 Navigator staff of 64 nationalities serve in more that 100 countries.

More Interesting Tidbits from the Cases:

We are a bike-riding, game-playing (if our youngest makes it through a day without Payday or Rook he doesn’t think the day has gone well at all), disc-golfing family.  Mark plays a lot of disc-golf with the kids and most of our male students play with them.  Disc-golf has opened up many doors to minister to the lost both at Cal Poly and the community.  We also have a small “gym” in our garage where Mark lifts weights with college students three mornings a week, and then they enjoy a home-made protein smoothie and a time reading the Bible and praying together.

Verse of the Month

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (Matthew 11:28-29)
