Monthly Prayer Request from the Lopers
Ralph & Ruth Loper – Global Recordings Network – Temecula
In Zephaniah 3:17b the Lord tells us how much He loves us. “He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Praise the Lord for His great love. In turn He has given us instruction in Matthew 22:37-39 to first love Him with all of our heart, soul and mind.  And secondly we are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.  As we approach Valentine’s Day, let’s remember these two greatest commandments and love the Lord wholeheartedly followed with selfless love for those around us.
Here is the next set of prayer requests for us during FEBRUARY 2012:
  1. Praise the Lord, we continue to have all 3 of our suites filled with tenants in GRN’s office building.  The Lord is good to provide these places for these tenants as well as an income for GRN, even in the midst of a down economy with many vacancies in other office buildings around us.  We certainly enjoy having a new start-up small church that moved into our 1st suite last November.  The lease of the mortgage company in the 2nd suite runs out at the end of January 2012. We haven’t heard if they plan to renew. Pray for the Lord’s will to be done there. Praise the Lord, the 3rd suite is still occupied by a small Christian ministry to children worldwide.
  2. Please pray for the large annual outreach of Global Recordings Network to thousands of migrant workers in Culiacan, Mexico. This outreach will be held in February. Pray for the power of the gospel to reach the hearts of many of these precious ones. Two adult women from our church will be participants for a week in this outreach.
  3. Please pray about some key events at GRN coming up in February. On Feb. 9 we will have our Annual Meeting where the Board and Staff gather together to praise the Lord for His blessings and accomplishments during 2011.  (We praise the Lord for the abundant blessing of additional donations that came in at the end of the year.  This eliminated about half of the deficit. Continue to pray for the other half to be met.) Then a regular Board meeting immediately follows the annual meeting. Pray for Ralph and others who are now preparing reports to give at these meetings.

An update from the Milbys
Jim & Chris Milby – SEND International – Japan

Praises
Our English outreach classes started up on the
8th. Thank you for your prayers. things are going smoothly!
so far, we have been spared some bad bugs that have gone around.

The day of the Mochi Pounding Party, it rained. Never the less, we had a good turn out. Two of my kindergarten kids came with their families, so I was glad that we had the opportunity to give the gospel message to those who don’t usually hear. Because of an unexpected happening, Jim and I ended up bringing 11 elementary kids from our neighborhood back home with us on the train. What fun! (On the way, there had been four adults for 12 kids. )

Prayer Requests
Please pray for the church’s Resurrection Sunday celebrations. Every year, we need permission from the city to use a near-by park, and to parade down the main street to the train station. We can’t take this permission for granted. As Kasukabe gets bigger, things get more difficult. Our pastors have invested a lot of time and effort into building relationships with key people in the city government. Please pray that they would continue to find favor in the community and be granted the necessary permission for a public celebration that honors the Lord.

Pray for the salvation of our students. Sometimes they seems so close, then other times they don’t seem to be getting it at all. Pray for faithfulness and effective witness on our part.

Please continue to pray for Rich and Bonnie Dennes who are preparing to go back to the States. Pray that they will be able to finish strongly, that the Lord will allow them to see fruit from their labors here, and that the preparations to leave will go smoothly. There have been some big answers to your prayers in that department, too.

We are in need of teachers to replace Rich and Bonnie. Please pray that the Lord will send the people of His choice in His time to continue building this ministry. And pray for wisdom for Pastor Yamada who is the administrator of this ministry as He seeks the Lord’s will for the new school year approaching (school years begin in April here.).

Verse of the Month

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (Matthew 11:28-29)
