Monthly Prayer Request from the Lopers
Ralph & Ruth Loper – Global Recordings Network – Temecula
As we praise the Heavenly Father for the resurrection of His Son, we are also grateful that we as His children have been crucified and raised from spiritual death. (Gal. 2:20)  So, now the Lord’s Word to us from Paul in Col. 3:1-2 is to seek and set our minds on those things that are above, where Christ is now, and not on things on the earth. May our Lord Jesus become more and more real and precious to us as we set our hearts and minds on Him everyday.
Here is the next set of prayer requests for us during MAY 2012:
  1. We are very grateful for the Lord’s continual provisions for the ministry of GRN.  Thank you for your prayers as we experienced a financial crisis a few months ago that could have easily brought GRN-USA to a complete stop.  Yet, the Lord intervened and eliminated 2/3 of the financial deficit that we were in by the prayers and extra gifts of His people like you.  Please pray that the remaining financial deficit that we are in will soon be completely met for the glory of God.
  2. We thank the Lord for several new volunteers who are helping us in the GRN Accounting Department.  This extra help is allowing our elderly full-time bookkeeper, Jean, to take some days off from work each week.  Please continue to pray for the Lord to lead someone to become a full-time GRN missionary called to the daily ministry of bookkeeping.
  3. During May, Ruth will be guiding our boys through to the completion of their work for another school year.  Please pray that Ruth will have wisdom in teaching the boys, and that they will be diligent in their studies enduring with His strength through the process.  Matthew will be completing his first year of high school through an independent study program at Oasis High School. Nathaniel will be completing sixth grade at Iowa Street School, the home-education charter school that Matthew completed last year and Nathaniel continues to attend since kindergartner. Both schools are located in nearby Fallbrook, CA.

An update from the Milbys
Jim & Chris Milby – SEND International – Japan

Praises
Our English outreach classes started up on the
8th. Thank you for your prayers. things are going smoothly!
so far, we have been spared some bad bugs that have gone around.

The day of the Mochi Pounding Party, it rained. Never the less, we had a good turn out. Two of my kindergarten kids came with their families, so I was glad that we had the opportunity to give the gospel message to those who don’t usually hear. Because of an unexpected happening, Jim and I ended up bringing 11 elementary kids from our neighborhood back home with us on the train. What fun! (On the way, there had been four adults for 12 kids. )

Prayer Requests
Please pray for the church’s Resurrection Sunday celebrations. Every year, we need permission from the city to use a near-by park, and to parade down the main street to the train station. We can’t take this permission for granted. As Kasukabe gets bigger, things get more difficult. Our pastors have invested a lot of time and effort into building relationships with key people in the city government. Please pray that they would continue to find favor in the community and be granted the necessary permission for a public celebration that honors the Lord.

Pray for the salvation of our students. Sometimes they seems so close, then other times they don’t seem to be getting it at all. Pray for faithfulness and effective witness on our part.

Please continue to pray for Rich and Bonnie Dennes who are preparing to go back to the States. Pray that they will be able to finish strongly, that the Lord will allow them to see fruit from their labors here, and that the preparations to leave will go smoothly. There have been some big answers to your prayers in that department, too.

We are in need of teachers to replace Rich and Bonnie. Please pray that the Lord will send the people of His choice in His time to continue building this ministry. And pray for wisdom for Pastor Yamada who is the administrator of this ministry as He seeks the Lord’s will for the new school year approaching (school years begin in April here.).

Verse of the Month

". . . walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:1-3)
